Jörmungandr
La Jörmungandr es una serpiente marina de la mitología nórdica, semi hijo de Loki y la gigante Angrboda. De acuerdo a la Prosa Edda Odín tomó a los tres niños, Fenrisulfr, Hel y Jörmungandr. El arrojó a este último al gran océano que rodea Midgard. La serpiente creció tanto que fue capaz de rodear toda la Tierra y sujetarla con su propia cola, así es como llegó a ser conocida como la Serpiente de Midgard.
